Priya Malik of ‘Bigg Boss 9’ forays into acting with Colors’ new series

Australia-based teacher and ‘Bigg Boss 9’ contestant Priya Malik is all set to make her acting debut on Indian television. Priya will be seen in recently launched show 'Savitri Devi College & Hospital' on Colors TV.

Confirming the same, a leading daily quoted a source as saying, "Priya will play Miss Fernandez, the head nurse at the hospital. It will be a grey and mysterious character."

Interestingly, Priya’s fellow contestant from the reality show, actress Kishwer Merchant, is also a part of the show.

“Kishwer will also be an integral part of the main family wherein every individual will be seen fighting to achieve his or her own goal,” a source revealed about the ‘Brahmrakshash’ actress’ role in the new show.

‘Savitri Devi College & Hospital’ is a medical drama which traces the journey of young intern on her way to fulfil her mother’s dream. It is an adaptation of the popular American series titled 'House'.

While Kishwer entered ‘Bigg Boss 9’ from the beginning itself, Priya entered as a wild card contestant. Priya was a finalist of ‘Big Brother Australia’ and took the Bigg Boss house by storm with her bold and upfront avatar. She was eliminated a week before the finale which was won by Prince Narula. Priya was even declared the ‘first finalist’ after she won a task and was chosen as the deserving candidate by the housemates.

Post ‘Bigg Boss’, Priya went on to do a play and also became a motivational speaker across several platforms.
