Post break-up with Aditya, Rhea Chakraborty goes on a kissing spree

Relationships and break-ups are almost a routine affair in Bollywood. Although some couples are able to separate amicably and go their separate ways, some are left with a bitter aftertaste. Actress and VJ Rhea Chakraborty who was in a relationship with actor Aditya Roy Kapur, is apparently trying to get back at him.

Rhea who is part of the upcoming film ‘Sonali Cable’ had initially refused to take part in any kissing scenes in the film because she was in a relationship with Aditya. But when she discovered that Aditya was quite comfortable with kissing scenes with Shraddha Kapoor in ‘Aashiqui 2’, she gave her nod to doing the scenes. The film reportedly features several kissing scenes.

The film ‘Sonali Cable’ is directed by Charudutt Acharya and is produced by Rohan Sippy and Ramesh Sippy.  The male lead is played by Ali Fazal and the film also features Anupam Kher and Smita Jaykar. The film is set in the backdrop of the struggle to acquire cable internet market share, between big and small organizations in Mumbai. A girl and her team take on a big organization to establish their business.

Rhea made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’. The director explained the decision of choosing her for the role by saying, “Rhea is young, when I saw her at audition I felt her raw energy which I personally liked about her...” The director also stated, “I have become a fan of my lead pair, Ali Fazal and Rhea Chakraborty!”  He also conducted workshop before the start of the shooting.

On her part Rhea said, “There were many reputed actors who were rehearsing over 150 times for a scene, so for that I had to rehearse at least 300-400 times, right? I just felt I need more practice. It was tiresome but also fun…Sometimes during our workshop Ramesh (Sippy) sir used to come by that time the fun was double, his suggestions were very useful for us. Infact, we used to wait when Ramesh sir will come and guide us!”

The music release of the film was recently held but lead actor Ali Fazal was absent from the event. Some sources claimed that he did not want to be a second fiddle in another women-centric film after the failure of ‘Bobby Jasoos’. But later the actor clarified the reason for his absence, “My Dadajee Mohd Fazal passed away. I had to leave for Allahabad for the last rites and burial.”
