Pooja, Alia, Shaheeh wish dad Mahesh Bhatt on his 67th birthday

Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who gave the industry many acclaimed films like ‘Arth’ ‘Saaransh’, ‘Zakhm’, ‘Sadak’ and others, turned 67 on Sunday. On the occasion, his three daughters Pooja, Alia and Shaheen took to Twitter to wish their dad and express their love for him.

His eldest daughter Pooja who made her acting debut in 1989 with her father’s directorial ‘Daddy’ wrote, “To my greatest life source. You give me strength to question on! Gnerosity, courage, life! Happy Birthday Pops! Love you to death and beyond!” She also shared the director’s picture and posted, “Happy Birthday Pops! I love you. @shaheenb @aliaa08.”

Pooja has now turned a producer-director like her dad. Her first directorial was the 2004 film ‘Paap’.

The veteran’s youngest daughter Alia who will be soon seen in ‘Shaandaar’ tweeted, “Happy birthday my special,unique MAD father! @MaheshNBhatt ! You make life soo weirdly interesting.. And of course CRAZY ;) I love you!!!”

Alia’s elder sister and Pooja’s half-sister Shaheen who prefers to stay away from limelight also wished her celebrated filmmaker father. “My port in the storm, the love of my life and occasional pain in my neck. Happy Birthday [email protected],” he Twitter post read.

Born on September 20, 1948, Mahesh Bhatt made his directorial debut with Manzilein Aur Bhi Hain in 1974. He started out with serious cinema and moved on to making commercially viable movies. He is said to have made several films taking inspiration from his personal life. He now concentrates on script-writing and producing films. His last directorial was the 1999 film ‘Kartoos’ starring Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Manisha Koirala.
