PM Modi lauds Salman’s ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan' effort

Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated superstar Salman Khan’s ‘Swachh Bharat’ abhiyan effort. Salman was initially nominated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the actor did not stop his cleanliness mission by taking up only one safai abhiyan. In between his hectic schedule, Salman finds some free time and carries out his cleanliness mission with his team.

His effort did not go unnoticed and the PM praised Salman Khan on Twitter. PM Modi tweeted: Once again, @BeingSalmanKhan makes a distinct & appreciable effort towards a Clean India. I congratulate him. …

To continue the mission, Salman Khan has nominated 100 followers for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. “The Honorable Prime Minister nominated me for the Swachh Bharat campaign and I have cleaned and painted three villages in Maharashtra so far. I intend to continue with this initiative, but Swachh Bharat is not about what one of us can do. It’s about what each of us can do. So today, on Republic Day, I am taking this campaign social. I will nominate 100 followers a month for Swachh Bharat. Please start a sustainable Swachh Bharat initiative in and around your area of work or residence or both. Upload your before and after pictures or videos. Five of the best initiatives will get special mention on my Facebook page and also win a prize each. Kya bolte ho? Shuru karein? First list will be up tomorrow,” posted Salman Khan.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched by the PM on October 2, 2014 and nominated some influential people of India. Salman was one among them. Post nomination, Salman along with co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan and the entire team of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ painted village Hatluni. Previously, he also rolled up his sleeves and carried out clean-up drive in Karjat.
