Pix: Arjun Kapoor, Sharddha recreate DDLJ train scene
Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, who is currently shooting for ‘Half Girlfriend’, based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same name recreated the iconic train scene of ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ enacted by Kajol and Shahrukh Khan.
However, there is a little twist. Here the girl is in the train and the boy is running on the platform to catch it.
However, the ‘Gunday’ actor believes that he and Shraddha had their own DDLJ moment in ‘Half Girlfriend’.
Arjun Kapoor shared a picture of the train scene and wrote, "Our very own #DDLJ moment !!! @shraddhakapoor @mohitsuri @chetanbhagat #halfgirlfriend #shootlife #mumbailocal"
Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is an adaption of the hit novel by Chetan Bhagat of the same name.
While speaking about ‘Half Girlfriend’ Arjun Kapoor has maintained that it is not a perky romantic comedy. "There is pathos and drama in Half Girlfriend. It's not just a frivolous rom-com (romantic-comedy). It's a drama. That film has a journey. It's a romantic journey and for me that is very exciting," Arjun had told IANS in an earlier interview.
"I have never done film where there is a rise and fall in love of a boy. If anybody has read the book, then they must be aware of the journey of Madhav Jha (his character). In the film there is a time lapse (of about) seven-eight years between the beginning of the film and the end of the film," he added.
Shraddha Kapoor will be seen
in the role of an affluent Delhi girl. The film is set for next year release.
