Parineeti Chopra ‘touched’ after meeting Brian Lara

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra got an opportunity to meet the legendary cricketer Brian Lara at an event in Hyderabad. Thrilled at having met the former West Indies batsman, the actress took to Twitter and shared a collage of two pictures of her with the cricketer and heaped praises on him.

“An honour to have met you !! You are such a humble human being. So touched !! @BrianLara,” the ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ actress wrote on the micro-blogging site along with the pictures.

Parineeti and the 46-year-old Lara met at the launch of YuppTV, an internet based TV streaming service provider, which was held on Wednesday, October 14 at Hyderabad. The event was also attended by Telangana Information Teghnology minister K T Rama Rao.

Lara said he was a fan of Bollywood given the fact that 40 per cent of his country, Trinidad’s population was ethnic Indian and there was no way he couldn’t get influenced by Indian movies and entertainment. The cricketer is also associated with Yupp TV in his home country Trinidad being the brand Ambassador of Telecommunications services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT), YuppTV’s technology partner.

Parineeti was last seen in Yash Raj Films’ 2014 movie ‘Kill Dil’ which starred Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar and Govinda. The film did not do well at the box-office. Since then, the 26-year-old actress has been spending some ‘me’ time away from Bollywood. She has been travelling attending events and functions. In June this year, Parineeti hosted the IIFA Rocks, a musical evening held a day ahead of the IIFA Awards ceremony, in Malaysia.

The ‘Ishaqzaade’ actress is in the limelight for her new slim avatar.
