‘Padman’: ‘Aaj Se Teri’ shows Akshay Kumar’s love for wife Radhika

A new song from the much awaited and talked about film, ‘Padman’ was released today. The song titled, ‘Aaj Se Teri’  and it shows how Akshay Kumar plays an ideal husband to his traditional wife Radhika Apte. Akshay does every small thing to make his wife happy. From chopping onions to taking her to the theatres, Akshay takes care of every little needs of Radhika.

The song was composed by Amit Trivedi and crooned by Arijit Singh. The love ballad ‘Aaj Se Teri’ begins with Akshay and Radhika’s ‘Saat Phere’. The song penned by Kausar Munir shows Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte playing a perfect husband and a wife and both head over heels in love with one another.

Sharing the news about the release of the song, Akshay earlier wrote, “Love inspired his innovations and his inspiration made him a Superhero. Marriage is finding innovative ways and not just words to say I love you.”

 ‘Padman’ which is based on the true story of Arunachalam Murugananthan, the man who found a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

‘Padman’ marks the production debut of Akshay’s wife Twinkle Khanna under the banner named Mrs Funnybones Movies. The former actress, who turned a columnist and successfully impressed readers with her writing skills, is set to make a comeback to Bollywood as a full-fledged producer.

The film is said to be based on one of the stories from her latest book, ‘The Legend of Laxmi Prasad'. The film’s story is said to be about Arunachalam Muruganantham, who campaigned extensively for menstrual hygiene in rural India, and came to be known as India’s ‘Menstruation Man’. ‘Padman’ will chronicle his quest and experiments of making affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village.

The film stars Sonam Kapoor, Radhika Apte and Amitabh Bachchan in a special role. ‘Padman’ directed by R Balki is scheduled to release next year Republic day.
