Padma Lakshmi becomes mom of a baby girl

Indian TV chef and former wife of author Salman Rushdie, Padma Lakshmi gave birth to a healthy baby girl on February 20 in New York after fighting with endometriosis for years. She was hospitalized last months for some complications but finally with God’s grace, she gave birth to a healthy baby. The 39 year old branded her pregnancy a ‘medical miracle’. Padma named her baby girl ‘Krishna’.

The model had hinted before that she is expecting a baby girl as her wardrobe was dumped with girl garments. Padma is thrilled to be a mother but she refused to name the father of the child. She divorced Rushdie way back in 2007. Some reports suggest that the father of the child is a capitalist named Adam Dell.

Padma is also the author of books titled,“Tangy, Tart, Hot & Sweet: A World of Recipes for Every Day” and “Easy Exotic: A Model’s Low-Fat Recipes From Around the World.”
