Opening day box-office collection of ‘Baby’

Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Baby’ is off to a slow start. The film opened with a good reviews from critics and Akshay’s performance was highly praised. The film registered an opening day occupancy of 25% which is comparatively very low considering it is Akshay Kumar’s film. In single as well as in multiplexes, the occupancy is registered very low.

Since it was a working day, the collection was speculated to be low. Hopefully, it will pick up over the weekend. The opening day collection of ‘Baby’ is low compared to Akshay Kumar’s last two outings, ‘Holiday-A Soldier is never off duty’ and ‘Entertainment’.

‘Baby’ has collected 8-8.5 crore in the opening day. The business was good in major cities but overall it is very low. In UP and Delhi circuit, ‘Baby’ fared well.

‘Baby’ featuring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Rana Daggubati, Rasheed Naz released around 2000-2500 screens. Directed by ‘Special 26’ director Neeraj Pandey, the film had to compete with Sonam Kapoor starrer, ‘Dolly Ki Doli’ released on the same day.
