‘OK Jaanu’ first look: Aditya, Shraddha cosy up

Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur who enthralled audience with their rain-soaked romance in ‘Ashiqui 2’, are all set to recreate the magic in ‘OK Jaanu’. Filmmaker Karan Johar who is producing the movie unveiled its first look on Twitter today.

The cute first look picture has Shraddha holding Aditya in her arms. The two look much in love - all cosy and cuddled up. Aditya and Shraddha have come together for the second time after their 2013 musical romance ‘Ashiqui 2’.  

‘OK Jaanu’ is a romantic drama being directed by Shaad Ali and produced under Dharma Productions. Double Oscar winning composer A.R. Rahman will give the music while renowned lyricist Gulzar will pen the songs.

“Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, Mani Ratnam, Gulzar, A.R. Rahman, directed by Shaad Ali. And it’s ‘OK Jaanu’,” Karan tweeted along with the image.

The film is a remake of Mani Ratnam’s 2015 Tamil blockbuster ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ which starred Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. The film was a fresh take on modern day relationships and portrayed a couple in a live-in relationship in Mumbai.

Prakash Raj who played the landlord in the Tamil original is said to reprise his role in the Hindi remake. The film’s cinematographer PC Sreeram, who recently filmed R Balki's rom-com 'Ki and Ka' starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, will man the camera. The Hindi screenplay is being co-written by Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali.
