Now a videogame based on Salman Khan’s “Bodyguard”

BodyguardThe latest blockbuster movie of Salman KhanBodyguard” has quickly been turned into a mobile video game shortly after its release. With this “Bodyguard” has joined the long list of Bollywood movies turned video games following the likes of RA.One , Singham , Love Story 2050 etc.

The movie, which has added to the continuing success of Salman Khan at the box office, has sold its gaming rights to Jump Games. The video game shows the story of the movie, with attractive visuals, which features Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) as the male protagonist appointed for protection of the daughter of a Business tycoon (Kareena Kapoor).

In the game, the players are assigned task to find and destroy the enemies of the Business tycoon who intend to harm his daughter Divya. The visuals of the game are attractive but the characters perhaps lack the finesse that they should possess. The game will be made available for causal gamin experience in Java based phones and will also run in the smartphone platforms like Android and Blackberry.

In past we have seen many Bollywood movies made to games after smashing the box office records. The same is true for the movie “Bodyguard” as well, which has received overwhelming response from the box office surpassing previous records of Salman Khan movies like Dabangg and Wanted. The movie is an action cum romantic flick which is believed to be the remake of a Malayalam movie of the same name released in 2010. The Malayalam movie was produced by Atul Agnihotri.

Rohit Sharma , CEO of Reliance Entertainment ,Digital Business  explains further the significance of this action filled game saying "With Bodyguard, Jump Games has created a game keeping the essence of the movie intact…The Bodyguard game is launched both in India and in global markets."

Jump games are known to create quality games based on Bollywood movies, which keep intact the essence and look and feel of the movie. In recent past, Jump games have come out with the game version of movies like 3-Idiots, Zindagi na Milegi Dobara and Singham. The games have received good response from the viewers and players which help the viewers live the movie experience for a longer duration of time with a more personalized touch to it.

The hottest news in advergaming is the new yet to be released SRK movie, RA.One, for which a full fledged Sony Play station based game is under construction and is expected to be release before the movie comes to the theatres.
