No outcome! Hrithik-Kangana case to be closed

The Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut spat was one of the biggest scandals of this year. There were lot of attacks and counter attacks between the ‘Krrish 3’ co-stars, with each of them trying to outdo the other. But, ultimately, no one wins as the police has decided to dismiss the case.

The forensic department of the Mumbai Police has failed to draw any conclusion after investigating the 'romantic' and private e-mails sent to Kangana allegedly by Hrithik. The ‘Mohenjo Daro’ actor had claimed that it wasn’t him, but an imposter who had sent those e-mails to the actress. Being unable to establish any facts about the e-mail ID, forensic experts have submitted a ‘NIL report’ in the case.

Since the e-mails sent from a certain account were the only bone of contention in the case, and there was no lead as to whom the e-mail ID belonged, the cyber police in Bandra Kurla Complex is likely to close the case.

A Mumbai Mirror report quoted Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Crime Branch Sanjay Saxena in this regard. "We have been unable to find anything on the mail ID as the server is located in the US. Now it is very difficult to ascertain who was using the account. Still, we will try to conclude [the case] from the available evidence," he told the daily.

"It's a dead end. Only data from the server based in the US could have helped us in identifying the user of the email account," the senior police officer added.

The controversy began in January this year when Kangana hinted about her relationship with Hrithik when she called him her “silly ex” in an interview. Hrithik denied ever being in a relationship with the ‘Queen’ actress, and sent her a legal notice demanding a public apology. Their spat took an ugly turn after Kangana filed a counter notice, and Hrithik filing a complaint against an unidentified person, who was allegedly using his name while sending e-mails to the actress.
