No clue about sex trade business in my property, Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is shocked to know that her Versova apartment which she has put on rent to a spa owner Manik Soni was actually used for flesh trade business. Last year, Priyanka has put her apartment to spa owner and her mother Madhu Chopra and brother Siddharth also attended the launch of the spa. Priyanka’s mother who is a doctor has her clinic next to the apartment.

When asked about the racket, she said that she has no clue as what was happening in her apartment. “When we rent properties we don’t go and check what is happening in the bedroom. Hence I had no knowledge about what is happening there,” the actress, who was in the capital to support the Girl Rising campaign, told IANS.

On November 7, police run a raid at the spa and they rescued three women and arrested the manager while spa owner Manik Soni managed to flee. The actress sends a legal notice to Soni besides cancelling the lease of her entire floor measuring 3,000 sq ft. Last year, Madhur Chopra and Priyanka’s brother Siddharth attended the spa launch.

A source says, “Soni has a branch of Charisma Beauty Spa and Salon in Bandra that he had allegedly started in partnership with Sohail Khan’s wife Seema. In March last year, he celebrated his birthday as well as the Versova spa’s first anniversary.”

Priyanka Chopra has cancelled the lease and also send a legal notice to the spa owner. On being asked, the ‘Mary Kom’ actress said, “It’s a police case and police is investigating the matter. We are law abiding citizens and if there is anything that is against the law, we will obviously stand by whatever the cops say”,

On the work front, the actress is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani . She quashed the reports of her fainting during a shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Bajirao Mastani'.

"I did not faint. It is a false news. I just swooned a little bit. I don't know why it happened, maybe it was because of little jet lag as I had come from Los Angeles or back to back shooting," she said.
