Hand-in-hand: Newlyweds Neil-Rukmini arrives in Mumbai
Neil Nitin Mukesh and his new bride Rukmini Sahay walked out of Mumbai airport. The newly married along with their respective families and friends were spotted at Mumbai airport. They returned to Mumbai after a royal wedding in Udaipur. The new couple walked hand-in-hand as they were making exit.
Neil and Rukmini poses for the camera and and also clicked selfie with a fan. The entire family posed for the lenses after landing in Mumbai.
The couple tied the celestial knot on Thursday night (Feb 9). They had a destination wedding in Rajasthan’s Udaipur after a three-day-long grand celebration.
Grandson of legendary Bollywood singer Mukesh, Neil looked handsome as a royal groom dressed in a deep maroon and gold sherwani and bejewelled turban. Rukmini looked no less than a princess in her bridal get-up. She wore an exquisite red and orange lehenga-choli, embellished with stones, resham and sadhi work. The outfits for both bride and groom were designed by Sarath Krishnan.
The day began with haldi and chuda-chadai ceremony, and the pheras took place in the evening in the presence of 500 guests, including Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor and late filmmaker Yash Chopra’s widow Pamela Chopra. It was preceded by the ring ceremony, mehendi, sangeet and cocktail parties on Tuesday and Wednesday. All the functions took place in Radisson Blu Udaipur Palace Resort and Spa.
Rukmini doesn’t belong to Bollywood background. She works in the aviation sector. The couple’s marriage was arranged by their respective families, who have known each other for years. They earlier got engaged in a private ceremony at a Mumbai hotel on the occasion of Dussehra in October last year.A lavish wedding reception will be held on 17h February in Mumbai which will be attended by the who’s who of Bollywood.
