Rani Mukherjee misses Yash Chopra on her wedding

Newly wedded Rani Mukherjee who had a fairy tale wedding with Yash Raj head honcho Aditya Chopra in Italy last night missed late Yash Chopra on her wedding. The actress who had a secret wedding issued a statement from Italy in which she mentioned that the one person she missed on her wedding is Yash uncle.

"It was a beautiful wedding in the Italian countryside with just a few of our close family and friends with us. The one person I missed terribly was Yash Uncle, but I know he was there with us in spirit and his love and blessings will always be with Adi and me," said the 36-year-old star in a statement.

She added, "I have always believed in fairy-tales and with God's grace my life has been exactly like one, and now as I enter the most important chapter of my life - the fairy-tale continues."

After six years of courtship, Rani and Aditya finally entered into wedlock. Rani starred in Yash Raj hit movies like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, ‘Hum Tum’ and currently filming Yash Raj banner ‘Mardaani’ where she portrays a police officer.

Rani Mukherjee moved into tears on the occasion of ace filmmaker 81st birthday anniversary. On his 81st birthday, Pamela Chopra hosted a bash to celebrate Yashji’s birthday and to pay a tribute to his exceptional work. Nine hot favourite actresses of Bollywood walked the ramp including Rani Muherjee and while giving speech, she broke down.

Rani Mukherjee got emotional remembering Yash Chopra and when Shahrukh Khan asked Rani to say a few words about Yashji, she said: "Yash uncle I miss you a lot...please forgive me for not making cake for you last year as I was busy with my commitments...I miss you and we all love you."

Remembering her association with Yash Chopra, Rani got tears in her eyes. During his last birthday anniversary also Rani could not hold her tears, she broke down while unveiling Yashji's statue.

During the event, Rani Mukherji became very emotional and said, "I would like to thank UTV for this. It's a great moment for all the people who loved Yash uncle and the people who are associated with the family. We will all miss him," a visibly teary-eyed Rani told reporters.
