New Ganpati Song Added To The Music Album of ‘Boss’

It seems the marketing minds of Bollywood are not ready to keep any stone unturned while promoting the films. The latest example is the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Boss’.

On the auspicious occasion of the Ganesh Chaturthi the team of ‘Boss’ have added another song to the music album of the film. The new song is based on the title track of the film but has entirely new lyrics. The new lyrics are in the praise of the elephant god, Ganapati. This song is not to be included in the movie. Kumaar has penned the lyrics for this devotional song.

Anthony D’souza is the director of ‘Boss’. Speaking about the inclusion of the new song, the director said, “Lord Ganesha is considered to be the Boss of Gods. So we decided to have a version of the title track, dedicated completely to Him. It has the full Ganesh Chaturthi flavor with a lot of celebration and joy.” Well this does sound like a novel idea and will certainly add to the festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi.

An excited music director, Meet Bros Anjjan who has composed both the original title track and the devotional remix states that, “For the Ganpati special mix, we have used a lot of dhols and lejhim beats. It is Bappa after all, so even the song has to be more than special.”

Kudos to the music director for his efforts! We also hear that the single track will be distributed free across the pandals in Mumbai and the state of Maharashtra during the first day of Chaturthi. It will be great to hear the song playing across the length and breadth of the state during the festivities. Even Akshay Kumar is planned to visit many of the pandals during the festival to offer his prayers to the elephant god.

Incidentally the music album of the film ‘Boss’ was released only ten days ago, amidst huge fan fare and the new devotional remix was recorded only a couple of days earlier. The team of ‘Boss’ has gone all out to ensure that the new song is released successfully.

Lord Ganapati is also the god of success and we certainly hope that the hard work and the devotion displayed by the team of ‘Boss’ gets rewarded. We wish all the best for the film ‘Boss’ at the box office
