Neil Nitin Mukesh sings ‘Kabira’ at his wedding function

Neil Nitin Mukesh and his fiancee Rukmini Sahay will wed in Udaipur on February 9 and the pre-wedding celebration kick-started in Udaipur. Last year in Dusshera, Neil got engaged to his ladylove Rukmini and now the couple will exchange wedding vows in Udaipur in the presence of their family members and close friends.

A video was surfaced on net which shows, Neil, 34, dressed in a bottle green blazer with Rukmini, 27, around him arrived in Udaipur. Neil's father Nitin Mukesh was also seen around the couple. Dhol played in the background and all the guests were having fun.

Another video circulated on net shows visibly happy Neil Nitin Mukesh singing Kabira during one of the pre-wedding festivities.

In an interview to the Mumbai Mirror, the groom-to-be said that he will sing for his bride Rukmini at the sangeet. "But I won't reveal what will I sing as I want to keep that a surprise for Rukmini," said Neil.

The pre-wedding celebration includes, Mehendi, sangeet and wedding. The lavish wedding will also be followed by a reception in Mumbai on February 17.

Neil shared the details of his big fat destination wedding. He said, "I always wanted to have a destination wedding. And my father also liked the idea, since this way, all my family members will be able to gather at one place other than Mumbai, and spend time together. Ours is a huge family and there will be around 500 people attending the wedding from different parts of the world. It's more like a family holiday for our big clan."

While the wedding ceremony will be traditional, Neil selected a fairy-tale theme for the engagement to be held today. Neil said, "I love the way Indian weddings are hosted. We have kept everything traditional, except our engagement ceremony. Since I was born in a family with a filmy background, I wanted to give a fairy-tale twist to my engagement ceremony. The dress code is tuxedos for men and evening gowns for women. My girl will be walking down the aisle wearing a flowy gown. I have grown up watching English films and had this fantasy!"

Neil and Rukmini have not rehearsed for their sangeet and have decided to go for an impromptu dance. "Both of us decided to not have a choreographed performance. Everyone should see how naturally we gel together," Neil said.
