Neha Dhupia’s gang member Shweta Mehta wins MTV ‘Roadies Rising’


Neha Dhupia's gang member Shweta Mehta defeated Prince Narula's gang member Baseer Ali to win the winner title of MTV’s ‘Roadies Rising’. Two finalists Shweta and Baseer came face to face in the final round, named chakravyuh task and Shweta defeated Baseer by performing the task in lesser time.

Shweta, an IT engineer by profession completed the task in 10 minutes while Baseer took 18 minutes. From the very beginning, Neha Dhupia wanted a girl to emerge as a winner and she is super excited that Shweta won the competition.

Shweta Mehta on her winning speech said, "It's a beautiful moment and I am so excited (to have won). Roadies has been my childhood dream”.

Shweta told indianexpress.com that she always had the confidence of winning the show, “Everybody comes in the show to win and I too participated with the same aspirations. I just wanted people to realise that there is nothing a girl can’t do and here I am. It was such a proud moment for me to see Neha ma’am glowing with joy when my name was announced. I had told her that when I reach the finale, I want her stylist to do my hair We both kept our promise. Roadies was a dream run that has given me confidence and I am raring to go now.”

One of the gang leaders Rannvijay has already included Shweta in ‘Squad Rann’ team. “Squad Rann is a team of strong guys who’ve excelled in different fields of life. I am the first girl to join the squad and am beaming with excitement”, Shweta said beaming with joy.

Hailing from a small town, Shweta said that her parents were quite supportive. “My parents have been really supportive. I remember I sent my picture in a bikini to my father. He responded saying that I looked beautiful and that I should not care what the world says but to just focus on my dreams. That was the only thing I needed in my life.”
