Neetu Kapoor faces flak for her Karwachauth meme

Veteran actress Neetu Singh Kapoor seems to be following the footsteps of her hubby Rishi Kapoor, who keeps stirring controversies with his social media activity.

On the occasion of Karwachauth, Neetu shared a funny meme on her Instagram page, but some found it to be in bad taste and were annoyed with the actress.

The meme shared by the 58-year-old actress has a picture of a lady doing the ritual of holding a sieve in front of her husband, before breaking her fast on Karwachauth. But the sieve has a picture of Ranbir Kapoor on it, indicating that the lady is imagining Ranbir in place of her husband, who is happy that his wife is fasting for him. The picture has a caption on it which reads, ‘Karwa Chauth – Causing hunger induced illusions among wives and helping husbands since…forever’.

Now, Ranbir’s mom might have thought that this picture will make one laugh, but she ended up being slammed for her joke.

A female expressed her disgust to this post and wrote a long note, “Why would anyone want a husband like him. A philanderer, apparently, an addict, ungrateful towards women and commitment phobic. If I had to spend my energy on a guy this shallow, (and he’s not even thaaaatttt good looking), had to fast knowing he never keeps his zipper on and be hurt repeatedly knowing he is incapable of any normal human expectations. But then he’s always attracted ‘filmy’ women, who only wants to marry the ‘kapoor’ title. I hope in such a shallow filmy world he finds ‘true love’ with a substantial woman who wants to be with him and not the ‘kapoor’ title and sticks by her.”

Another user seemed to have found it funny and commented, “Hahaha least expected this from u mam????”

A user who seemed to be a fan of Ranbir, came in her support and wrote, “Love RK so much,, whatever HATERS say,,, they gonna hate hate hate till death!!! But RK keep raising!!!”

Ranbir, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of his film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan. Directed and produced by Karan Johar, the film is set to hit screens on October 28.
