Narula brothers from Delhi win 7 crore on KBC


The popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati gets its first ever 7 crore winner in two Delhi brothers, Achin and Sarthak Narula. Achin is a marketing manager and Sarthak is a student. The two brilliant brothers pays confidently and calmly and emerged as winner by correctly answering 14 questions. It was a proud moment for KBC as after a long wait they finally got the winner of the jackpot money 7 crore.

With the help of four lifelines, the Narula brothers took home the highest prize amount in Indian television history. Achin has been trying to be a part of the quiz show for the last 10 years but always filed in the fastest finger first contest. The duo, barely in their 20s emerged as the winner during the Jodi Special episode of KBC 8.

Bachchan, 71, hinted about the big win on his official blog and Twitter handle and also shared a picture of the historic moment.

He wrote, "It is a topsy turvy world tonight and KBC is the one that needs to be blamed!! What incredible moments, what brilliance and what an incredible play..! That is all I am permitted to say."

"The beauty and the excitement of KBC at its very maximum! Just an incredible moment," Bachchan tweeted, followed by a photograph from the sets of the show featuring the winners.

Siddhartha Basu, who is the producer of the show, said the jackpot win was a moment to cherish.

"We have been waiting for a moment like this since the inception of this show. It is a pleasure to see bright brains like Achin and Sarthak battle it out for the Maha Jackpot."
