Nargis Fakhri makes singing debut with singer-composer Parichay

One more Bollywood singer has ventured into professional singing, joining the likes of Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and others. Actress Nargis Fakhri is all set to make her singing debut with Punjabi singer-composer Parichay and Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall for her first single, reports stated.

The leggy ‘Rockstar’ actress has been utilising her time off from Bollywood to train herself in the art of singing. Nargis has collaborated with the Parichay and Kardina for the track titled ‘Habitaan Vigaad Di’.

Talking about the song, a source was quoted as saying, “To give the song an East-meets-West flavour, the team brought mainstream Canadian rap legend Kardinal onboard to record and film with Nargis and Parichay”.

Nargis had to put in extra effort to make sure that she sounds perfect when singing the Punjabi lines, the source added, saying, “For the main chorus line, she gave 100 takes because she couldn’t get the Punjabi lyrics right. She made sure to learn the correct pronunciation of every word from Parichay.”

"When I heard the song, I was intrigued by its pace. Parichay and I decided to take it forward. To give it an East-meets-West flavour, we also got Offishall on board. We had a lot of fun shooting the video,” a report in Mid-day quoted Nargis as saying.

Nargis plans on surprising people at clubs along with Parichay, with a live performance of her new track. The actress was last seen in Bollywood movie ‘Banjo’ starring Riteish Deshmukh.
