Nana is the best co-star, says Anil Kapoor


National Award winning actor Nana Patekar who will be next seen in the upcoming comedy ‘Welcome Back’ may have a bad temper but is adored by his co-stars.

Speaking at the trailer launch of Anees Bazmee’s ‘Welcome Back’, Nana said he has fights and arguments with everyone, but has not brewed any enemity with anyone.

“I had fights…Arguments with Anees Bazmee but it doesn’t last longer. Anees is a good director. It was nice, amazing experience working with him. I fight with everyone but I don’t have any enemies. There is no enmity with anyone,” the actor told reporters.

However, he complained that the director gives scripts at the last moment. “He gives late in the night…He wants us to do the scene next day,” Nana added.

Reacting to Nana’s complaint, Anees said an actor’s involvement in the project was a good thing. The director also said, “If any actor doesn’t give his or her suggestions or advice, then I ask if the actor is interested in doing the film or not.” The reaction from is positive, Anees added.

When his co-actor in the film Anil Kapoor was asked about their camaraderie-ship and the actor’s temper, Nana was the first to speak up saying, “We just had a fight ten minutes back on how to present this event.”

However, Anil heaped praises on his co-actor and said, “I have worked with lot of big actors. I feel that both, nationally and internationally, Nana is the best co-star.”

‘Welcome Back’ is the sequel of the 2007 rib-tickler ‘Welcome’ which starred Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Mallika Sherawat and also Feroz Khan in his last film appearance. Anil, Nana and Paresh Rawal also featured in the film and will be reprising their roles in the sequel.

Akshay and Katrina will be replaced by John Abraham and Shruti Hassan respectively, while Nasseruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia and Shiney Ahuja are new additions.

The film is scheduled to release on September 4.
