‘Naam Shabana’ 2nd trailer: Taapsee leaves behind Akshay in kicking and punching


The makers of upcoming spy thriller ‘Naam Shabana’ have released the second trailer of the movie. The film is a spin-off of Neeraj Pandey’s hit directorial ‘Baby’. The movie deals with the circumstances which led agent Shabana, played by Taapsee Pannu, transform from an ordinary girl to a tough secret agent.

‘Naam Shabana’ brings back the characters of Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa and Madhurima Tuli from ‘Baby’, and also stars Manoj Bajpayee, Elli Avram and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

The ‘Pink’ actress took to Twitter to share the link of second trailer by writing, “And that's how it all started for #NaamShabana #NaamShabanaTrailer.”

The trailer opens with a few shots from ‘Baby’ and a voice over describes its agents who doesn’t want to die for the nation but to live for it, so that they are able to protect the country till their last breath. Then we see Manoj Bajpayee’s character inducting Taapsee’s Shabana as a field agent. She is sent on a dangerous mission to nab an arms dealer. However, Anupam Kher, who plays a senior agent, doesn’t have faith in Shabana and says she will get killed. Shabana is also seen making her mother understand that she isn’t doing anything wrong.

The trailer is high on remarkable dialogues, exciting and thrilling moments. Taapsee is in her full action avatar, kicking and punching and handling guns. The actress reportedly trained in martial arts and was coached by Hollywood stunt director Cyril Raffaelli, who has worked for movies like ‘Hitman’, ‘The Incredible Hulk’ and ‘The Transporter’.

‘Naam Shabana’ has been directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Neeraj Pandey. It is slated to hit screens on March 31.
