Munnabhai Originally Meant for SRK

...No! Before you contemplate through the conventional way, we would like to clarify that Shahrukh isn't playing a cameo of any sort in the film. The fact is that Munnabhai was originally conceived with Shahrukh Khan in mind. The King Khan was also initially signed for the lead role but due to Shahrukh's back problem, things didn't work out. But in accordance with Shahrukh's constructive inputs in the script, the filmmakers did not forget to modestly acknowledge him in the end credits.

But director Rajkumar Hirani clarifies that there were no changes in the script, whatsoever with Sanjay Dutt's entry in the film. The actor has added his own special touch to the character of Munnabhai. Those few who have gone through the final print of the film (including us) are raving about both Sanjay's performance and the film in totality and are predicting the movie to be a hit at at the box office.
