‘Munna Michael’ actress Niddhi Agerwal sign a no-dating contract

Newcomer actress Niddhi Agerwal, who is set to make her Bollywood debut with Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Munna Michael’, has been asked by the makers not to date any one till the film wraps up. She was made to sign a contract which included a ‘no dating’ clause.

Apparently, the makers of the film didn’t want that Niddhi should ‘get distracted’ during the making of the film. According to the contract, the actress is not allowed to date anyone from the film’s team or even beyond it.

Speaking about it to a daily, the debutante said that she had to read the contract twice to believe it, but she didn’t mind signing it.

"I had to read it twice over to believe it, but I don't really have a problem. I understand that the intention is that they want 100 per cent dedication from me. Not like I have a life beyond work in any case. My understanding of it is that the makers have included the clause because dating a co-star has become an easy publicity exercise for production houses. It takes the focus away from the film."

“Now, I can put my phone away and practice for four hours without worrying about who's calling me. It is a matter of five-six months and I am okay with it,” Niddhi told Mid-Day.

However, Niddhi’s co-star Tiger was spared from signing anything like this. Explaining this, producer Viki Ranjan said, "Tiger is already a star while this is Niddhi's launch film. She is a bright girl and we don't want her to get distracted. Sabbir (Khan, director) and I have seen real potential in her and this will do her good."

He shot down talks of sexism saying that they didn’t force Niddhi and she signed it voluntarily.

‘Munna Michael’ is a musical action-romance in which Tiger plays the role of a slum dweller who idolises the legendary singer-dancer Michael Jackson. The movie Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the antagonist. It is currently being shot in Mumbai and will wrap up by February next year and is slated to release on July 7.
