#MumbaiRains: Deepika to Abhishek tweets about heavy rains

Heavy shower almost drowned Mumbai and life came to standstill. Several parts of Mumbai are in waist-deep water and people are hurdling to move to a safer place. The disaster management team has been put on alert. The next 24-48 hours is going to be crucial.

Some Bollywood celebrities shared picture of the heavy shower and few of them asked the fans to stay indoors and take care of themselves and others.

 "Guys please be careful, Parineeti Chopra tweeted with a picture of Mumbai heavy rains while Neetu Kapoor posted a video of Mumbai rains and wrote, "Ganesha take care of our city ????????." Social media is full of images of waterlogging in the city and we all are praying for the situation to come under control.

Dia Mirza too shared a video of the rain and wrote, "The rain coming down so heavily! With such force, but these tendrils, flowers and what appear to be fragile stems hold strong... Nature's lesson to me today is powerful! #NatureIsLove #Gaia #AllConnected #BeautyIsStrength #Purpose #tuesdaymotivation #MumbaiRains."

Actor Suresh Menon? too posted an image and wrote, "And by the way no one can escape Nature's fury (pic of Houston floods)...instead of playing blame games ... Be safe."

Gul Panag# "Brace yourself Mumbai. Heavy rain coming. Plan ahead. Stay safe. #MumbaiRains," Gul Panag tweeted.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who was driving on the water logged streets, posted a video on Instagram and captioned it, "Driving in the sea #mumbairains2017."

She interrupted the session to tweet, "While I do this, alerts showing up on my phone about the rains in Mumbai. Please stay safe and take care everyone."

Abhishek Bachchan had a humourous take on the situation. "Happy National Sports Day. Today's sport of choice is swimming. Enjoy! #MumbaiRains," he wrote on Twitter.

Dia Mirza# wrote, "As I watch the torrential rain from the safety of my home my heart goes out to all those vulnerable and affected... especially children."

Mahesh Bhatt# Wake up Mumbai !! This is the worst monsoon 'nightmare' !!! Just spoke to 2 of my sisters. They almost drowned in Khar West.

Due to heavy downpour, school, colleges, offices and other institutions will remain closed.
