Mubarakan title song: Anil Kapoor grooves with twin Arjun(s) & their girls

After sharing the side-splitting trailer of ‘Mubarakan’ starring real-life uncle-nephew pair Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, the makers unveiled its first song, the title track on Thursday evening.

It is a hard-core party anthem with electronic beats. The song features all the primary characters of Anil Kapoor, Arjun’s twin characters of Chandigarh-based turbaned Charan and Karan who lives in London, as well as Athiya Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz who play the love interests of the twin brothers. All of them are glamorously dressed in black and golden outfits as they groove on the dance floor. The twin Arjun(s) shows off his desi bhangra and stylish moves as per his character, while the two ladies look stunning swaying to the beats. Anil Kapoor could have well played Arjun’s brother.

Juggy D, Yash Narvekar and Sukriti Kakar have lent their vocals to the song which also has a rap section written and performed by Badshah. The lyrics have been penned by Kumaar, while Rishi Rich, Yash Anand have composed the track. The song is a tribute to legendary singer-composer R.D. Burman as a tune from his song ‘Yamma Yamma’ from film ‘Shaan’ can be heard in between the song.

Arjun shared the song on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Time to celebrate, time to party. Here it is, #Mubarakan - The Title track just for you."

Mubarakan’ has been directed by Anees Bazmee who has previously made the audience laugh with his hit comedies like ‘No Entry’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Ready’ etc. The movie also stars Ratna Pathak, Rahul Dev and Pavan Malhotra among others.

The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on July 28.
