Mouni Roy to romance Salman’s bro-in-law Aayush Sharma in ‘Raat Baaki’?

It was said that Salman Khan will launch television actress Mouni Roy in one of his films, but the ‘Naagin’ actress is set to debut opposite Akshay Kumar in ‘Gold’. But fresh reports suggest that Mouni will indeed work in a Salman Khan movie and will star opposite the superstar’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in ‘Raat Baaki’.

‘Raat Baaki’ is a romantic drama to be co-produced by Salman Khan and Karan Johar, and will be directed by debutant Aditya Dhar. Previous reports stated that Katrina Kaif, also a good friend of Salman, might play the female lead in the movie, but looks like the makers have approached Mouni for the film.

Salman, known for shaping up the career of many actress, is quite fond of Mouni as he has seen a lot of "untapped potential" in her. The duo got to know each other when Mouni visited his show ‘Bigg Boss’ and she was also a part of his promotional show ‘Supernight with Tubelight’.

If all goes well, Mouni will be on board for ‘Raat Baaki’. She hasn’t even wrapped up her debut film and there’s already a buzz of her next project!

Meanwhile, Mouni has been preparing hard for her debut film ‘Gold’ which went on floors a few days ago in London. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress will be seen in a different avatar in keeping with the era. She plays one of the principal characters in this male dominated film and will be shooting for at least 20-25 days.

To be directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritish Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment, ‘Gold’ tells the story of India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the XIV Olympiad in London. Akshay will portray the character of former Indian hockey player Balbir Singh, the hero of the gold campaign that Indian enjoyed not just in 1948 but also in 1952 and 1956 Olympics.
