Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards: Sonam Kapoor stuns in Jean-Louis Sabaji gown

The 2015 Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards saw the Bollywood style icons walk the carpet in the most magnificent attires. Sonam Kapoor attended the event in a glamorous gown by Jean-Louis Sabaji. The outfit is from the Fall 2015 collection of the designer. She kept the jewellery to the minimum. Her stylish gown and flawless looks were enough to steal a million hearts. The gown was an elegant blue on the top and adorned with black feathered pattern in the legs. She chose winged makeup for the eye and her hair was neatly swept back.

With such fantastic looks on, she was certain to win an award or two. Sonam was nominated for four categories - Most Glamorous Star (Female), Global Icon of the year (Female), Most Stylish Star (Female) and Trendsetter of the Year. Out of these, she won Most Stylish Star and Trendsetter of the Year. She was presented the award by Madhuri Dixit. Here is what Sonam had to say on this joyous occasion, “It’s important to be yourself and your clothes are just an expression of who you are. Everyone has an individual voice , so to me having an individual sense of style is very important. I’m really excited with the award and to receive it from Madhuri Dixit was an iconic moment for me.”

Sonam Kapoor has earned a prominent image on the international platform and has been featured on the covers of the most reputed international magazines – Vogue, NOTCH, Maxim, Verve, FHM, GQ, Grazia, Femina and Elle. The actress is launching her own brand this year. Known as ‘Rheson’, Sonam is launching this brand with her sister Rhea Kapoor. Sonam told the media, “We wanted to work on something that is owned by us and had our personal touch on every level. So finally, we got a true partner in Shoppers Stop, as they saw the potential in this and we are finally launching in India in September this year. Our brand is called Rheson, a combination of Rhea and Sonam, phonetically pronounced reason. It’s a high street fashion brand meant for real Indian girls.”

Another project Sonam is busy on, is her upcoming ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ with co-star Salman Khan. She would also be seen in Anuja Chauhan’s film, that is adapted from the novel ‘Battle For Bittora’. Yet another film is Ram Madhwani’s upcoming biopic on the flight attendant and Ashok Chakra recipient Neerja Bhanot.
