Mithun is fine, visited a hospital for routine check-up, says son


Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, who was recently questioned by ED regarding his involvement in Sharada chit-fund scan reportedly fell ill and visited a hospital. Currently, he is at home and in doing fine.

Mithun’s son Mahaakshay confirmed that his dad is absolutely fine and he visited the hospital only for routine check-up. Earlier in the day, it was reported that the actor was admitted to hospital following vomiting and fever.

Clearing the air of the veteran actor’s health, his son Mahaakshay told IANS, "These are just rumours. My dad is absolutely fine and he is at home. He had just gone for a routine check-up on Sunday and he is absolutely fine."

However, his son Mimoh also rubbished the reports.

"He is absolutely fine now. We went to the hospital yesterday for a routine check-up... Which is from head to toe. Doctors suggested doing it in the hospital and my mother is very particular about health. We took discharge today and he is fine," 

Mithun, 64, who is also a Trinamool Congress MP, was recently questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chitfund scam. He said that he was not involved in the scam but only promoted it and for that he was paid and also said that he will return the money which is less than 2 crores.
