‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ song: Ayushmann, Parineeti go retro in ‘Yeh Jawaani Teri'
After boosting audience interest with five chapter-wise trailers and a couple of songs, the makers of Ayushmann Khurranna and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ have launched a third song.
Titled 'Yeh Jawaani Teri', it is a madcap retro number with foot-tapping beats in the vocals of Nakash Aziz and Jonita Gandhi. Sachin-Jigar has composed the music, while the lyrics have been penned by Kausir Munir.
The video has the lead pair dancing their heart out in an interesting setting of stationed trams, an icon of Kolkata city. A glimpse of composer-singer Bappi Lahiri’s mural can also be seen in the video, and it can be regarded as a tribute to the man who popularised disco music in India.
Music plays an important part in the film as was evident form the trailers. Parineeti plays an aspiring singer named Bindu, while the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor plays Bengali novelist Abhimanyu Roy. Parineeti, who will be seen in the film after a brief hiatus, has also made her singing debut with it, and her song ‘Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin’ was the first to release even before the trailers.
‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ has been produced by Maneesh Sharma and directed by debutant Akshay Roy. The romantic comedy is slated to release on May 12.
