Massive fire breaks out on the climax set of ‘Kesari’

Massive fire broke out on the set of ‘Kesari’ in Wai district of Maharashtra. The set was installed for the climax scene but alas maximum portions of the set caught fire. The lead stars of the film were not there during the incident but the team of ‘Kesari’ was present. The set caught fire just 10 days before the climax scene, the battle of Saragarhi wrapped up.

The fire was brought under control. The shooting for the film was taking place at Pimpode Budruk village in Wai teshsil, around 30 km from Satara. By God's grace, nobody was hurt, a Satara Police control room official told PTI.

According to Satara police, fire broke out while portraying a bomb explosion scene and apparently some ashes might have fallen on set material in the vicinity.

The shooting of the film has been put on hold for the moment. The source further added, "Though, the explosion was a massive one, not a single person from the crew was injured."

‘Kesari’ is being jointly produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Cape of Good Films and Azure Entertainment.
