Manyata Dutt to promote husband Sanjay’s film ‘Policegiri’

Sanjay Dutt has recently wrapped up the shooting of producer TP Aggarwal’s ‘Policegiri’ and now the next is to promote the movie. It is said that in his absence Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt will promote the movie.

"We have not decided how to promote the film. Manyata may step in, but I can't confirm on that. I will have a meeting with Sanjay before we decide anything," Aggarwal told.

"Sanjay has finished the shooting a few days back. He has even finished the dubbing, so the film is ready," he added.

Sanjay Dutt has taken time from Supreme Court to complete his film shoots and in the given time he has completed maximum shooting of his movie. Sanjay Dutt has filed review petition against SC but on 11 May Supreme Court has rejected his review petition and in that case he has to surrender before the jail authorities on May 16.

Sanjay who was found guilty of possessing illegal weapons and AK-56 which was used in Mumbai blast in 1993 will have to go behind the bars for three and a half years. He was sentenced five years imprisonment and since he has almost served jail for one and a half years way back, he has to serve now the remaining days of jail term.

Agagrwal said: "It's very sad that his plea was rejected. He has already suffered a lot. I am still hoping things might change."

The producer feels ‘Policegiri’ is one of Sanjay best pieces of work.

"The film is looking really good. I can assure you this is one of Sanjay Dutt's best work so far. The film is slated for July 5 release and I believe we have made a good film."

‘Policegiri’, is a Hindi remake of 2003 Tamil hit ‘Saamy’, directed by KS Ravi Kumar and it features Prachi Desai in the female lead.
