Manyata Dutt diagnosed with tumor in liver

There has been a huge uproar among people for Sanjay Dutt’s second time release from jail and this time on the ground of wife Manyata Dutt’s illness but the doctor who examined Manyata confirmed the report that she is truly unwell and has been diagnosed with tumor in liver which needs to be operated. Manyata is also suspected with heart ailment.

"Manyata has a tumor in the liver. She had chest pain and has lost ten kilos in 15-20 days. We have advised her to undergo certain tests for heart ailment. Once the tests are done then we can decide whether surgery is required or not," Dr Ajay Chaughule told PTI.

Chaughule, a senior heart and cardio thoracic surgeon and heart and lung transplant surgeon at Global Hospital, said she had visited him a week ago and he has been prescribed her some medicines.

The doctor informed that Manyata had earlier gone to Lilavati hospital where she was advised to undergo angiography to determine the condition of her heart after which she decided to take a second opinion from Chaughule.

Sanjay was granted parole for wife’s illness and there was a huge anger among the people as being a prisoner how he was released from jail twice in a gap of one month. In October this year, Dutt was granted furlough for 15 days on medical ground and now he was again granted 30 days parole.

Things turned ugly when newspaper flashed Manyata in two different events. Dressed in jeans and top with a pair of specs, she was first seen at the screening of Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha starrer, ‘R..Rajkumar’ and then she attended Krishika Lulla's birthday party. The pictures drew huge controversy. 

Republican Party of India (RPI) activists on Saturday staged protests outside the Yerawada Jail in Pune against Dutt release from jail on parole.

Divisional Commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh confirmed the development on Friday.

"The parole application was recommended by an ACP in Mumbai Police and the jail superintendent of Yerawada prison. Considering these recommendations, I have approved Dutt''s parole for 30 days. The reason for seeking leave was his wife''s illness," he said.

Reacting to this development, advocate Abha Singh said: "Old Zaibunissa Kazi and Sanjay Dutt went to jail together. Yet, she has not been granted parole, but he (Dutt) has been granted parole repeatedly."

Social and civil rights activist Annie Raja said: "There are thousands in jails who never get to meet their loved ones. This is an injustice to those people."

Home Minister of Maharashtra Mr R. R. Patil has asked for investigate on the case. He also said that the issue will be brought into state legislative assembly.

Sanjay Dutt is serving jail in Pune Yerawada jail following his conviction in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts. He has been found guilty of possessing illegal weapons.
