Mallika Sherawat auditioned for Dangal, confirms Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan confirmed that hot and sexy Mallika Sherawat has auditioned for ‘Dangal’ for the role of wife and it is not yet finalized whether she will be a part of the film or not. Casting for the sports based film ‘Dangal’ is underway. The film based on wrestler Mahavir Singh was helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.

"She had no make-up and rattled off the pages of dialogue she knew by heart in shudh Haryanvi. The Jat accent that might stump other actresses, comes naturally to her since she’s from the state,” says the source confirming Mallika's audition.

The ‘Hisss’ actress wrote, “Would love to be a part of Dangal :)”

Meanwhile, casting of two daughters for the film has been finalized. "The casting is still going on for the film. She is a wonderful actress... she contacted our casting director, auditioned for a role. We are concentrating on getting cast for the younger version that is -- 12-14 years for Geeta and Babita (Mahavir's daughters and women wrestling champs)," Aamir said in an interview here.

"Once this integral part of casting is done we will focus on my wife's part and then there is another interesting character of my nephew," he said.

Kangana Ranaut, Tapsee Pannu, Urvashi Rautela names were considered but ultimately Fatima Shaikh from Mumbai and Sanya Malhotra from Delhi bagged the popular roles after months of auditions. "We auditioned a lot of girls and have finalised Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. We tested them and they are very good. These two young girls are very talented. These girls are training in wrestling," Aamir said.

Fatima acted in a few films and a TV serial while Sanya a Delhi girl is a trained ballet dancer.

The biopic on wrestler Mahavir Sigh will go on floor in September this year.
