Malayalam actress abduction: Dileep moves court for bail


Actor Dileep’s life has turned into hell after he was found guilty in the famous Malayalam actress abduction and assault case. Dileep, who was in judicial custody moved Kerala court for bail. Dileep, who is one among the 11th accused in the assault case pleaded innocence. “I am absolutely innocent and had already cooperated with the investigation team,” said the bail petition.

The actor counsel in the petition claimed that Dileep was dragged into the case totally based on the declaration of the accused. There was no trace of evidence against Dileep.

The actor has been booked under criminal conspiracy in the kidnapping, sexual assault and destruction of evidence.

On the night of February 17, the famous Malayalam actress was abducted and assaulted in a moving car while she was travelling from her home in Thrissur to her friend’s place in Kochi. Police arrested Pulsar Suni, the actress' former driver on February 23 who committed the crime and during investigation police found Suni’s link with Dileep.

“His career in the film industry would be totally hampered. The arrest was without any evidence and without taking any permission from the court. Hence he should be released on bail,” the petition said.

Meanwhile, the official website of the Malayalam actor was also hacked. Currently, Dileep is locked in Aluva sub-jail.
