‘Main Aur Charles’ trailer: A peek into the dangerous mind of Charles Shobhraj
The makers of the biopic on notorious serial killer Charles Shobhraj released the trailer of movie titled ‘Main Aur Charles’ on Wednesday. Randeepa Hooda plays the role of the criminal who has nailed the Shobhraj look with the 1970s get-up, flat cap and oversized shades.
The trailer opens with a quote: "I was always in the right place at the right time, always willing to take advantage of an opportunity." The two-minute-twelve-second long video clip describes the personality of Charles as ‘manipulative, charming, enigmatic, mysterious, intelligent, hypnotic, and dangerous’.
He has many passports with numerous identities which he uses to escape the law. The trailer also reveals the crimes committed by Charles, the story of each of his victims and the quest of the police official to nab the charismatic criminal.
The role of police officer Amod Kanth who handled the Charles Shobhraj case is being portrayed by Adil Hussain who also gets good screen time in the trailer. Richa Chadda and Tisca Chopra also play important roles in the movie.
Charles Shobhraj who is now imprisoned was a serial killer of Vietnamese and Indian origin. He used to murder Western tourists during the 1970s and became notorious as the ‘Bikini Killer’.
Written and directed by Prawaal Raman, ‘Main Aur Charles’ is scheduled to release on October 30.
