BLAME ME for MR X failure, says Mahesh Bhatt


Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Mr X’ fails to drag audience to the theatre and the producer of the film Mahesh Bhatt took the blame on himself for the failure of the film, saying he will not put the blame on Fox Star Studios, which marketed the movie.

There were reports about fallout between Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films after the film fall flat at the box-office. Denying the report, Mahesh Bhatt said he is responsible for ‘Mr X’ failure, thereby putting an end of the speculation of Fox Star Studios and Vishesh Films row.

Mahesh Bhatt took to micro-blogging site Twitter to clear the air on the issue.

BLAME ME : It is content & content alone which is responsible for a films failure . Mr X bombeb at the box office because of my content !!

I will not pass the buck of the failure of Mr X to the Fox marketing team. We at Vishesh must take things in our stride & move on!

The sci-fi film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur, released in both 2D and 3D last month. -

Produced by Vishesh Films and directed by Vikram Bhatt, Emraan Hashmi plays an invisible man who seeks revenge for all the wrong done on him. It also features Amyra Dastur and Arunoday Singh. It mints in Rs.14 crore in its opening weekend.

Vikram said that a director's job is to learn from mistakes.
