Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’ invests 3.5 cr for a song

Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming flick ‘Brahmotsavam’ will feature a song worth a whopping Rs. 3.5 crore. Apparently, the song is a ‘sangeet’ number which will see the actor dancing with many others.

The huge amount of money was said to have been spent on erecting the sets for shooting the song and other arrangements, according to a source.

“It is the introductory song featuring Mahesh and nearly 500 junior artists. Besides Mahesh, the song also features the ensemble cast of Chandini Chowdary, Pranitha Subhash, Jayasudha, Sayaji Shinde, Tanikella Bharani, Naresh and Krishna Bhagwan among others,” news agency IANS quoted a source from the film’s unit.

The shooting for ‘Brahmotsavam’ started in Tirupati when the annual festival commenced in September at Tirumala as the makers wanted the film to be shot in a real atmosphere. Afterwards, the team moved to Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City for further shooting.

‘Brahmotsavam’ is being directed by Srikanth Addala and also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles.

The next leg of shooting for the film is set to begin in Hyderabad on October 5.

Mahesh Babu’s previous Telugu film ‘Srimanthudu’ opposite actress Shruti Haasan was a huge hit.
