Madhuri Dixit runs into legal trouble for endorsing Maggi


Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit served with legal notice for endorsing Maggi. Off late Maggi came under scanner of the Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration for containing high levels of lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG).

Haridwar Food and Drug Administration served legal notice to the actress for endorsing Maggi and the notice asked the dhak dhak girl of Bollywood to answer within 15 days. A case could be registered against the actress if she fails to respond in 15 days.

The actress has to answer seven points in the notice. On what basis she claims Maggi is good for health, she needs to explain how Magic is good for health, how much money she received in the endorsement, when did she shoot the ad, what is the contract duration and she was also supposed to produce the contract copy.

The health experts suggest that high levels of lead and monosodium glutamate (MSG) might be injurious to children’s health and it can cause nausea, headaches, stomach upset, body weakness etc. Nestle, the brand that heads the Maggi production had taken to the micro-blogging site twitter to deny the reports saying, “We do not add MSG to MAGGI noodles.
