Madhuri Dixit breaks down after watching ‘Rani Mukherji’s ‘Hichki’

Rani Mukherji arranged a special screening of ‘Hichki’ helmed by Sidharth Malhotra at Yash Raj studio and it was attended by who’s who of Bollywood. Madhuri Dixit, who was also present at the screening moved into tears after watching the mind-blowing film and Rani’s power-packed performance.

She shared her views on the film on her Instagram account, along with a photo with Rani.

Madhuri wrote, "Hichki is a moving and heart-warming film helmed by a brilliant story with a wonderful cast. A strong content driven film, very well directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and of course another stupendous performance by Rani. Kudos to Team @yrf."

Apart from Madhuri, Rekha, Karan Johar, Sushmita Sen, Boney Kapoor, daughter Khushi and Shilpa Shetty attended the screening.

Karan tweeted about the film on Friday morning, he said, "Hichki is a feel good and extremely sensitive film... addresses a disorder with dignity and strength. Rani Mukerji is the soul and life of this film! She is absolutely brilliant!!!! And reminds you of her exceptional talent again!"

Earlier, this week, Anil Kapoor tweeted that Rani Mukerji has become his "new favourite teacher", after watching Hichki. "Watched Hichki last night and absolutely loved it! The whole team has done an exceptional job especially the kids and Neeraj Kabi! And Rani you are my new favourite teacher! Your performance has left me speechless," he added.

YRF’s ‘Hichki’ is slated to release on March 23. Rani plays a teacher with Tourette syndrome in the film. It is a disorder, where one makes spontaneous sounds and noises.
