Madhur drops the gay kissing scene

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar is known to portray reality in reel, no matter how horrifying the realism may be. He brings into forefront the shocking picture of the society where we reside and the polluted air where we respire. Reality hurts and to keep those hard facts under wrap, censor board cuts controversial scenes. Before Censor board raise any objection against the gay kissing scene, Madhur chopped out the gay kissing scene between actors Samir Soni and Anil Kumar from his forthcoming film Fashion.

"What a beautifully-shot scene of intimacy it is between Samir and Anil. You forget their gender. They're just two people in love expressing their feelings," Bhandarkar told. "I took it out before taking it to the censor board. I thought portraying a homosexual couple was bold enough. The kiss would have been too much. But now I'm planning to restore it on the DVD," the director further said.

Fashion stars Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Mugdha Godse and Arjan Bajwa in the pivotal role and it is slated for Oct 29 release. It is based on a real life story of models coming from small town to fulfill their dream of becoming a well-known model.
