Lovebirds Shraddha, Aditya chat with Karan Johar
The latest excitement on the famous celebrity chat show, Koffee with Karan, is the reel time and alleged real time love pair Aditya Roy-Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. The actors were the lead pair in the film ‘Aashiqui 2’ and have fuelled rumours of an off-screen relationship ever since. Although the pair has consistently maintained the ‘We are just good friends’ line, fans prefer to use the ‘L’ word when discussing them. The film had been critically acclaimed for the deep love and passion the characters portrayed. Now, what remains to be seen is if the onscreen passion has made its way into the hearts of these two Bollywood heartthrobs.
Karan Johar has finally stepped up to the challenge to make them spill the beans by inviting them to his show. Karan tweeted ‘Aashiqui in the Koffee House’ thus introducing his guests who are to be seen on the show early next year. Karan, who is notorious for adapting tricky means to catch celebrities unaware, has already kick-started the season with Salman Khan’s explosive interview and Kareena’s ‘slip of tongue’ regarding Ranbir and Katrina’s relationship. He has the elite of tinsel town such as Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan lined up. But the curiosity is more for the ‘Aashiqui’ duo as they are the only couple on the show, real or alleged, which leads to more speculation and interest.
This season will also see the ‘Student of The Year’ trio Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, ‘Two naughty girls’ as tweeted by Karan Johar – Freida Pinto and Nargis Fakhri and the promotional episodes for the films ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Shaadi ke side Effects’ and ‘Gunday’.
But nothing quite beats the excitement that the news of Shraddha and Aditya’s episode has generated. After all, the teaser tweet of ‘Aashiqui in the Koffee House’ has TRPs soaring already as fans start the countdown up to the day the episode is to be aired.
Koffee with Karan, the chat show has an extravaganza of celebrities in its star studded fourth season. Karan Johar has exceeded expectations this time by inviting a whole new ensemble of stars and has got his aces up his sleeve to make them spill out their secrets. From the famous Kapoor cousins, Kareena and Ranbir to Deepika and Priyanka Chopra, he has them all squirming on his infamous couch with the coffee and the gossip!
