Lions Gold Awards: Priyanka, Abhishek dazzle at the red carpet


On the 6th of January it was Gold Awards time yet again in tinsel town. In the 21st edition of Lions Gold Awards, stars like Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, Mannara, Lisa Haydon, Farah Khan, Tiger Shroff and several others received the highly coveted Gold Award. Those who received accolades were ecstatic and all the other stars who attended were happy for them.  

Most of the stars dazzled the red carpet like they always do while some failed miserably. Varun Dhawan’s youthful and fun filled look will certainly inspire a lot of youngsters. Mannara’s traditional outfit made her stand out and her lehenga skirt designed by Roshni Chopra added a touch of elegance to this classy debutante. She won the best debutante actress award for ‘Zid’ while the ‘Heropanti’ hero Tiger Shroff took home the award for best debutante actor.

Daisy Shah chose to sport a Rohit Verma gown and although, she looked beautiful the same cannot be said about her ensemble. The clashing colours of her outfit were not a pretty sight. Lisa Haydon with her stunning figure and pretty looks graced the red carpet in a black and gold draped Tarun Tahiliani dress. The gold accents made her stand out at the Gold Awards this year, wherein she was awarded for her stupendous performance in the movie ‘Queen’.

Farah Khan looked her usual elegant self in an amalgamation of navy blue and red. Abhishek Bachchan was dressed in grey and black from head to toe. Both posed cheerfully with their awards for the movie ‘Happy New Year’. Yesteryear’s actor Prem Chopra was also awarded at the event. Singer Monali Thakur looked stylish in her little black dress and was also felicitated. Gautam Rode won Best Actor award for his Star Plus soap ‘Saraswatichandra’. He looked as amazing on the red carpet as he does on the show.

Priyanka Chopra was undoubtedly the best dressed celeb at the event. She was all decked out in a couture skirted dress by Theia and paired it up with Jimmy Choo heels. Pee Cee won the Best Actress accolade for her memorable performance as Mary Kom in the biopic ‘Mary Kom’.

Poonam Dhillon and Salma Agha two veteran actresses graced the event with their presence. Other popular faces that were spotted at the event were Ashutosh Gowariker, Omung Kumar, Aashka Goradia, Shweta Khanduri, Kavitta Verma, Divyanka Tripathi, Pallavi Kulkarni, Sushant Singh, Gaurav Chopra and Tia Bajpai.
