Leaked: ‘Baahubali 2’ climax war scene goes viral

An important scene from the much-anticipated film ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ (Baahubali 2) has apparently leaked online and is going viral. The over two-minute long leaked video is said to be the raw footage of a war sequence featuring Prabhas and Anushka Shetty.

The makers of the film have already filed a complaint with cyber-crime and are doing their best to pull the video down and stop its circulation. The leaked scene was first uploaded on YouTube before being deleted due to copyright issues. But, it has also spread on Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp with hashtags like #Baahubali2Leaked and #Baahubali2LeakedWarScene.

Reportedly, the leaked scene formed the climax of the epic film, just before the big revelation – ‘Why Katappa killed Baahubali’. The scene also had some graphic shots.

Director S. S. Rajamouli has been very cautious and the shooting is being done in secrecy. He has even banned the use of camera phones on the sets. But despite the best efforts and restrictions, the leak couldn’t be prevented.

In fact, almost two months ago, a few pictures from the shooting location in Rayalseema, Andhra Pradesh, also went viral on social media. The pictures of the set showed a dark prison cell amidst mountains, a water tank and some huge logs.

Meanwhile, ‘Baahubali’ fans have been expressing concern at the war scene being leaked online, and are posting encouraging messages to refrain from sharing the leaked footage.

Baahubali: The Conclusion’ was originally slated to release by the middle of this year, but apparently, the process of its making is taking a little longer. The director had said that the second part of the film will be even bigger and grander in every aspect.

The multi-lingual ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ which released last year, had broken several records in the history of Indian cinema. It has also won the National Film Awards this year.

The epic historical fiction features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead, while Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh, Tanikella Bharani and Sudeep play vital roles.

The movie is slated to hit screens on April 28, 2017.
