‘Laxmmi Bomb’ First Look: Akshay Kumar looks violent in red bindi, red saree

Akshay Kumar unveiled the first look of his unique character as Laxmmi in ‘Laxmmi Bomb’. Akshay’s character looked very powerful and dangerous.

Sharing his saree-clad picture, Akshay wrote, “Navratri is about bowing to the inner goddess and celebrating your limitless strength. On this auspicious occasion, I am sharing with you my look as Laxmmi. A character I am both excited and nervous about… but then life begins at the end of our comfort zone… isn’t it? #LaxmmiBomb,” the photo caption read.

Earlier, Akhay Kumar unveiled the poster of ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ on social media and it is quite appealing. He plays a transgender in the film and the poster shows him applying kajal in his eyes.

He tweeted: “Bringing you one bomb of a story,#LaxmmiBomb starring @Advani_Kiara & yours truly! Bursting in cinemas on 5th June,2020. Fox Star Studios Presents. A Cape of Good Films Production in association with Shabinaa Entertainment & Tusshar Entertainment House. Directed by Raghava Lawrence”.

The poster reminds us of Paresh Rawal in 'Tamanna'.

Akshay Kumar will share screen space with KIara Advani in ‘Laxmmi Bomb’ which is a Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster ‘Kanchana’. The film will be directed by Raghava Lawrence, who directed and acted in the original one.

Producer Sabina Khan confirmed casting Kiara for the ‘Kanchana’ remake, "Yes, we have signed Kiara for the Kanchana remake."

Another source said, “While Akshay plays the protagonist who gets possessed by the spirit of a transgender, Kiara will portray the superstar's girlfriend in the movie. Although the female lead did not have a significant role in the original version, Kiara will enjoy a substantial part in the adaptation. The script too has been tweaked to suit the sensibilities of the Hindi film audience."

The report further states, “Producers Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor picked up the remake rights last year, following which the scripting team has been hard at work to give it a North Indian flavour. Lawrence will helm the Hindi offering.”

‘Laxmmi Bomb’ is scheduled to release on May 22, 2020.
