Lata Mangeshkar praises Adnan Sami for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’

The melody queen Lata Mangeshkar is all praises for singer Adnan Sami for the devotional qawwalli 'Bhar do Jholi Meri' for ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. On receiving the appreciation call from Lataji, Adnan Sami is touched. An ecstatic Adnan says, "I have just died and gone to heaven. Lataji called to tell me she liked my rendition of the qawwali. Coming from the queen of melody, whom I idolise, it was a pat on the back that I will cherish forever."

Adnan and Lata’s association go back a long way. Recalls Adnan, "She has always been very warm and encouraging. I grew up hearing and seeing her idolised by my father. He couldn't sleep until he heard Lataji's lullaby Dheere Se Aaja Ri Ankhiyan Mein. When I came to India my one wish was to meet her. And when Lataji sang for me in the film Lucky I felt I has achieved the acme of my career."

Adnan had the privilege to sing with Lata Mangeshkar in "Lucky: No Time For Love” starred Salman. And now again after so many years Lataji has praised Adnan Sami for a Salman movie.

" Now, Adnan wants to show Bajrangi Bhaijaan to the songstress. "Lataji will love it. It's all about love between the people of India and Pakistan. And she knows she has as many millions of fans in Pakistan as she does in India."

'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' is all set for July 17th release.
