‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ party: Shweta Nanda, Janhvi, Kareena, Rani at Karan's house

The iconic film of Bollywood, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ completes 20 years and on this very occasion, Karan Johar hosted a grand bash to mark the 20th anniversary of the all-time romantic Hindi movie. After the event, Karan Johar and the three lead pairs Shahrukh Khan, Kajol and Rani took the stage and went down the memory lane and talked about the making of the film and many memories associated with it. An after party was hosted at the filmmaker’s house after the event.

Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Ishaan Khatter and Neha Dhupia were photographed at KJo's Mumbai home after the party. Sanjay Kapoor, Kajal Anand and Shweta Bachchan Nanda were also there.

"I am happy to be a part of Kuch Kuch Hota Haiand may this film be an inspiration to all the young filmmakers and directors," Salman Khan said from the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, who had a small but important part in the film.

“I never listen to scripts, I listen to the heartbeats of the people I work with at times millennial chat with me and say things like why you let go of that script that was such a great script. Till date, I never understood a script. And I can say this with confidence that I never understood the script but the script maker or the filmmaker,” Shahrukh said in presence of the cast crew and the media.

He went on to say, “Karan came and narrated an utterly nonsense crap story to me; which is certainly not the one that finally you people saw in the film. In his strange way Karan, the man with many words tried to impress me with his crap story. So yes, I really did not understand the story when I signed in. and I am glad that I did not get into the story and just went ahead with the conviction of Karan, otherwise the film would have not been the way it came out.” He added that the film feels creepy now for his kids AbRam, Suhana and Aryan.

Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Neha Dhupia, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Twinkle Khanna, Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, rapper Badshah were among many others to celebrate the film’s success at Karan's residence.
