Kriti Sanon denies doing Salman Khan's 'Sultan'

Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ recently wrapped up its first schedule and is gearing up to begin the next from January 18. However, the leading ladies for the film has not been finalised yet.

Names of several actresses like Deepika Padukone, Kriti Sanon, Parineeti Copra etc have been doing the rounds. There were also reports that Kriti refused to do the film. Signing up for YRF talent would mean she has to pay a percentage of her earnings to the studio, which she was not willing, reports stated.

However, the ‘Heropanti’ actress on Thursday clarified that she was not at all approached for the film and hence, there was no question of refusing the film. Kriti took to Twitter and wrote, “I'd like to clarify again that I have not been offered Sultan. So the question of YRF putting any conditions doesn't arise.”

YRF usually puts forth certain conditions in its contract for new comers. As per the contract, the actors have to pay a percentage of their earnings to the company.

A Bollywoodlife report quoted an inside source as saying, “The actors launched by the studio (Ranveer, Parineeti, Anushka, Vani) have to pay a percentage of their earnings from films and endorsements to the studio. While newcomers are happy to sign this contract when they get launched by YRF, Kriti, who has already made a name for herself doesn’t think it is a fair offer. she would rather give up the film than take up Adi’s (Aditya Chopra) offer, which comes with this condition.”

Kriti’s latest film ‘Dilwale’ is doing excellent at the box office, but its income has been hampered due to the protests owing to its lead actor Shah Rukh Khan’s comments on ‘intolerance’ last month.

Meanwhile, ‘Sultan’ is still scouting for female leads.
