Know why Katrina wanted Indian Idol Junior to stop shooting

Indo-British actress Katrina Kaif who recently visited the sets of singing reality show ‘Indian Idol Junior’ asked the team to stop the shooting when the show’s hosts announced that they will be holding Hind classes.

Katrina and Saif Ali Khan were on the show to promote their upcoming film ‘Phantom’. The hosts Asha Negi and Hussain Kuajerwala started the episode saying they will do Hindi classes and turned towards Katrina to ask if she was ready for the same. But the ‘Bang Bang’ actress seemed to have taken her words too seriously and immediately demanded to halt the shooting.

"We had started rolling the moment Katrina entered the set. Asha was playing a Hindi teacher's role and she happened to ask Katrina if she was ready for the contest, to which Katrina just had to say 'yes'," Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying.

The source added that Katrina requested for a proper briefing as to what she was supposed to say and also what all she had to do. A simple introduction was blown out of proportion and the shoot was stalled for 5-10 minutes," the source added.

The actors visited the show on August 16 on the occasion of Saif’s 45th birthday. They cut a cake to celebrate his birthday and Katrina also sang a birthday song for him. The actress also bonded well with ‘Dabangg’ actress Sonakshi Sinha who is a judge on the Show. She shares the panes with co-judges Vishal Dadlani and Salim Merchant. The episode will be aired this Sunday.

Kabir Khan directorial ‘Phantom’ is a counter-terrorism drama based on the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The film is set to hit theatres on August 28.
